The switch to standard, but without standard consultants!

In my previous role as Director of Operational Excellence Europe, we initially aimed to introduce a standardised project management toolbox to better structure our projects. However, working with 55 made it clear that we needed to take a more comprehensive approach to achieve real added value. Ultimately, we worked together to standardise the company's entire project management methodology, including processes, roles and project documentation, as well as the Europe-wide implementation of PPM software.

In their role as project managers, 55 not only proved that they are able to manage a high level of complexity and lead interdisciplinary teams with a little humor, but they also supported with their expertise and showed how a project can be successful through a targeted change and communication strategy.

I got to know 55BirchStreet through an ongoing series of exchanges on the topic of the present and future of project management: ‘Are projects dying like dinosaurs?’ In my role as IT project manager at HAMBURG WASSER, I was able to experience the project management expertise of Lena and Anne in particular, along with other in-house project managers from Beiersdorf, Union Investment and Reemtsma.
